Commode over Toilet

Our male client uses a commode chair over his toilet. There is a space between the commode and the toilet, and urine was going onto the floor rather than in the toilet.

Tadvic sourced silicone place mat (39.5cm L x 29.5cm W) from Kmart.

The cushion on the commode was removed and the silicone mat was draped across the opening. The cushion was then placed on the seat (and silicone).

The mat was adjusted to drape into the toilet, closing the gap.

It is adjustable and easily removed to wash etc. When the commode is pushed back over the toilet, with the mat in place, the mat deflects on the edge and then falls inside the toilet I.e. it doesn’t need to be removed or adjusted. When rolled forward the mat naturally slides over the toilet rim.

Swish

Vision Impaired Table Tennis (also known as Swish) is like playing table tennis, but instead of hitting a ball over the net, the ball is hit under the net and must travel along the surface of the table. The net is solid wall, at a certain height so that those players with various degrees of sight do not have an advantage over blind players. The ball has bells in it to make it audible and it is about the size of a tennis ball and made of plastic with holes in it; and the bat is rectangular with a handle. Tadvic has made 7 Swish tables, evolving into sound design.

The effort involved and the space necessary for a construction has led Tadvic to the decision that we will make no more than one table a year.
